EL1 Recruitment and Performance Reporting

Location: Hobart
Contract Length: 6 months + possibility to extend

The Assistant Director Corporate & Performance Reporting (EL1) plans and oversees the client's performance reporting function. They also deliver key corporate documents such as the Portfolio Budget Statement, Corporate Plan, and Annual Performance Statement. The role ensures alignment between the agency's strategic direction and daily operations, oversees effective and compliant performance reporting, and communicates performance achievements to external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop non-financial information for agency reports in line with governance requirements.
  • Plan and manage performance reporting cycles, including data collection and quality checks.
  • Analyse performance data to track targets, identify risks, and improve performance.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure data collection and reporting quality.
  • Prepare high-quality reports for governance committees, including Audit and Risk Committee.
  • Stay informed about the agency's strategic direction and operating environment to align corporate documents with objectives.
  • Conduct research and analysis to address complex issues and identify solutions.
  • Manage direct reports, ensuring deadlines are met and employees are supported in achieving results.
Deliverables
  • Deliver the Corporate Plan 2024-25 and Annual Performance Statement 2024-25, managing project tasks, engaging stakeholders, ensuring quality, and obtaining approvals.
  • Oversee end-of-year performance reporting and quality assurance for the agency.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new performance measures for the agency.
  • Prepare briefs and reports for Executive and governance committees.
  • Uphold APS Values, Code of Conduct, and Workplace Diversity Program.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety regulations and contribute to risk management.
