Senior Advisor – Personal Property Securities

About the Role
The Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) is the Australian Government register where details of security interests in personal property can be registered and searched. It is a key piece of financial infrastructure for Australia which underpins secured lending across the economy.

Our vision is that The PPSR is well known and is used confidently, effectively and appropriately.

Based in Adelaide, the Senior Advisor - PPS is a subject matter expert.  You will support our vision by working to reduce intentional misuse and making it easier for people to understand their rights and responsibilities to use the PPSR correctly. 

Duties include complex decision making as a delegate of the Registrar of PPS, investigating complaints about PPSR misuse, stakeholder support/education and execution of data integrity and compliance strategies.

About You
To succeed in this role you will have:

  • Experience applying legislation to make and advise on administrative decisions and identify relevant issues;
  • Experience as an escalation point for complex client matters;
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with an ability to build productive relationships;
  • The ability to acquire exceptional technical knowledge and lead/mentor staff as a subject matter expert;
  • An innate ability to plan and prioritise your workload to deliver business as usual responsibilities and drive project work outcomes;
  • Exceptional communication and analytical skills;
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (desirable);
  • Experience in or knowledge of PPSR and the PPS Act, or the ability to quickly acquire (highly regarded).
